Optional cover for your building and your belongings. Compare what is included against what is excluded.
Home insurance is optional in the UAE, but landlords and mortgage lenders often ask for it. Contents cover protects your belongings; building cover protects the structure. The detail that matters is the exclusions: water damage, valuables sub-limits and maintenance clauses decide whether a claim is paid, so compare those, not just the premium.
